Who are the Dowell Bros?

Thomas Dowell

Thomas Dowell has been developing his passion for classic and vintage vehicles for over 7 years. A graduate of the Institute of the Motor Industry’s pioneering Classic Vehicle Restoration course, Thomas developed his theoretical expertise of classic vehicles alongside the practical application of his knowledge on American muscle cars.

After furthering his knowledge at a high-end vehicle specialist, he has now developed an excellent client-base and works confidently on an incredible range of tasks and vehicles. From 1950s Porsche and Ferrari to your humble Mini and Citroen 2CV, Thomas hones his skills for a variety of clients. As a director of Dowell Bros, Thomas continues to develop his creativity and attention to detail. From full restorations to carburettor tuning, Thomas’s knowledge is expansive.

Matthew Dowell

Matthew Dowell has over 5 years experience working on classic vehicles. Also a graduate of the Institute of the Motor Industry’s Classic Vehicle Restoration course, Matt began his practical career at a renowned Oxfordshire classic car restoration company. 

After shaping his skills on a range of classic English cars, such as Jaguar E-Types and Jenson Interceptors, Matt also found a natural competence in and interest for interiors. Previous clients have instructed Matt to design and construct a custom leather interior with contrast stitching, alcantara headlining, and a range of detailed finishing touches. As a director of Dowell Bros, Matt continues to enhance his abilities to work with expertise on mechanical repair and vehicle restoration, whilst being commissioned to produce custom interiors and accessories.
